DUAL CURRENT brings together the work of Shira Toren and Patricia Fabricant, two artists whose practices explore the interplay of surface, structure, and sensation. Though their approaches diverge, Toren through the tactile accumulation of pigment and material, Fabricant through layered fields of color and form. Both share an interest in the slow revelation of meaning through process.
Each painting is an act of attention: a meditation on the physical and ephemeral, the seen and the felt. Toren’s work evokes geological time and material memory, her surfaces carrying traces of erosion and emergence. Fabricant’s compositions, by contrast, suggest the fleeting and the atmospheric color as resonance, gesture as echo.
Together, their works create a visual dialogue that shifts between tension and harmony, containment and release. In this shared space, abstraction becomes a language of intimacy an exploration of what lies beneath the visible, and how we come to perceive it.
